Llangennith Hill End Static Caravans and Camping Site
Camping at this 14 acre site is very popular,especially that now it has a sophisticated bistro/coffee/teashop located smack in the middle of the site.The facilities available are childrens play area,showers, toilets and laundry facilities. .The season lasts from 1st April to 31 October.

Llangennith Hill End Static Caravans
Getting to the legendary (for surfers) Hill end site at Llangennith usually means driving from Swansea via Gowerton ,Penclawdd (cockle picking).Llanrhidian and a few more narrow and slightly dangerous roads to the Hill end campsite to some of the most desirable properties in the world, well maybe after a New York penthouse, yes we are talking a "Hill End" static caravan, picked up years ago for a few thousand pounds but sadly now for all intents and purposes unavailable.
Call the Hill end number and you will get an answer phone , trying to talk to to someone is like trying to pull teeth,but details given are something like this.
1 : The waiting list as at summer 2006 is 150 people,and no more people are being added.Prices for the normal statics are between 25-45k,site fees @ £1800/year and lifespan 15 years.
2: Apparently the site owners wish to eventually convert all the static pitches in time to log cabins, these range in price from 80-150k,with site fees being @3k/year and lifespan 30 years. (waiting lists are shorter for this option)

The Hill End Static caravan and campsite at Llangennith, no touring caravans though. A Bistro/coffee shop is the round space ship building on the right.The place in the centre near the dunes is the "car park" usually used by mad surfers, this is the nearest point to the beach and is a resting place for those surfers that have managed to walk back miles with their surfboard, from a tide that has just gone out, we salute you.
