Mumbles,Swansea

Mumbles is known as the 'Gateway to Gower', Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty,it is found by travelling up the Mumbles road, the one that stretches all the way from the town centre and follows the beach all the way to the Mumbles lighthouse at the very end.A very popular traffic jam sort of place when its sunny due to the amount of rain that the Swansea area receives throughout the year with the result being that people pile into their convertibles, Porsches and motorbikes at the first chance of sun for a spot of sun, sea,and a breath of fresh sea air.Mumbles offers many shops, pubs, and recreation areas making it the first choice for localsand tourists in the know.(Catherine Zeta Jones and the equally glamorous Bonny Tyler both have homes in the area,so they must know something!)
The Mumbles used to have a railway that ran all the way to the town centre in victorian times, but sadly this railway was removed,it probably made sense to someone at the time!
