Rhossilli

Rhossilli ,Gower is the elevated area that juts out into the Bristol channel between Port Eynon and Llangennith, and Rhossilli Bay is the Bay that is famous for its surfing, with the Llangennith area being the epicentre of this popular sport.
Rhossilli itself is worth visiting for its wonderfull walks and fantastic views,it can easily take an hour to walk to the furthest coastal point and back, from the car park below, left.
The area you eventually arrive at in this popular village has a large car park ,with various refreshment areas surrounding it,ice cream vendors, drinks etc, there is even a pub next to the car park whose garden has fantastic views over Rhossilli Bay!
One of the best features of this National treasure are the walks you can take to the end of the point, the views are truly breathtaking, especially if you like to see waves crashing against rocks,or wild tides coming in to the beach, but expect it to be windy as you are at quite an elevated position.
You also get to see the panoramic view over Rhossilli Bay,and Llangennith and interesting views of Worms head, you can actually walk down the rocks onto the beach and then out to Worms Head when the tide is out, but you only have a couple of hours grace, and it can be pretty dangerous out there as the tides are fast moving and the currents powerfull.

Below right is the view from the car park looking down the walking path in the direction of Worms Head (so called because the rock formation looks like a worm, believe it or not)

The view from a similar point looking right is over Rhossill Bay, and the beach which also tends to be referred generally as "Llangennith", whose village is situated roughly halfway down the beach, behind the popular Hill end Campsite. Llangennith has for years has been a magnet for the surfing community.
